Joseph Augustyn
Mr. Augustyn has over 30 years of high-level experience in homeland security, counterterrorism and intelligence issues, as well as extensive knowledge of the agencies and departments responsible for them. Mr. Augustyn’s long career with the CIA included senior positions as Deputy Associate Director of Central Intelligence for Homeland Security, Chief of Staff for the CIA’s Deputy Director for Operations, and several senior management positions both at CIA Headquarters and in the field. He has been a senior advisor to the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and the Heritage Foundation, and was a member of the CSIS panel of experts that produced “Homeland Security 3.0.” He served as a senior advisor and counsel to John Brennan, then Director of the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC), of which Mr. Augustyn was one of the original architects. Mr. Augustyn is a frequent national lecturer and guest speaker on homeland security and intelligence topics, and has written articles published by the Christian Science Monitor and the Huffington Post. He is the recipient of the Distinguished Career Intelligence Medal and the Intelligence Commendation Medal. Mr. Augustyn is currently Executive Vice President at Jefferson Waterman International. He holds degrees from the University of Massachusetts and Brown University.
Elder Granger, M.D., MG FACP, CPE, FACPE, FACHE, CMQ, USA (Retired)
Major General Granger is President and CEO of The 5Ps, LLC, SDVOSB, health care, education, and leadership consulting organization since August 6, 2009. MG Granger served as the Deputy Director and Program Executive Officer of the TRICARE Management Activity, Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Health Affairs), Washington, DC, from December 2005 to May 2009. In this role, he was the principal advisor to the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Health Affairs) on DoD health plan policy and performance. He oversaw the acquisition, operation and integration of DoD’s managed care program within the Military Health System. MG Granger led a staff of 1,800 in planning, budgeting and executing a $22.5 Billion Defense Health Program and in ensuring the effective and efficient provision of high-quality, accessible healthcare for 9.2 million Uniformed Service members, their families, retirees and others located worldwide. MG Granger has received numerous awards, decorations and honors, including the Defense Superior Service Medal, the Legion of Merit with three oak leaf clusters, the Bronze Star Medal, and the Meritorious Service Medal with four oak leaf clusters. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the Board of Hematology and Oncology.
Kevin Carroll, President, The Kevin Carroll Group, LLC
Mr. Carroll is recognized as a leader in managing information technology changes that are needed to support an Army at war and in support of the President's Management Agenda. Today, he leads his IT consulting company that focusing on the Federal Government. Until October 2007, Mr. Carroll was the Program Executive Officer, Enterprise Information Systems, where he managed a highly complex, diverse and effective organization engaged in developing, acquiring, integrating, deploying and sustaining state-of-the-art business and technology systems for the Army, Joint Service and Coalition users. The Program Executive Office, Enterprise Information Systems has a global work force of over 600 military and civilian employees and obligations of more than $2 billion annually. Under Mr. Carroll's leadership the Program Executive Office steadily grew in size, number of programs and importance to America's military success. Mr. Carroll began his government career as a contracting officer with the Department of Transportation before transferring to the Army. He has over 32 years experience in government service and his Army government experience includes the Federal Highway Administration, the U.S. Coast Guard, and the Army's ISSAA (now ITEC4), CECOM, and the Army Materiel Command.
LTG Arthur Gregg, US Army (retired)
Lieutenant General Gregg enlisted in the United States Army in January 1946, and was commissioned through Officer's Candidate School in May 1950. He served for more than thirty-six years and retired in August 1981 in the grade of Lieutenant General. His most significant assignments included Commander, Army and Air Force Exchange System, Europe; Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, United States Army, Europe; Director for Logistics in the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; and the Army's Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics. Following retirement from the Army in 1981, General Gregg held several corporate assignments at the vice president, president, and chief executive officer levels. He retired from active management in 1996, but continues to serve on several corporate boards. He chairs four of these boards.
